David Urquhart Sky Travel Limited

(in Administration)

ABTA Numbers:  W0374 & E2964

ATOL Number: 3701

With the impact of Covid-19 resulting in worldwide travel bans, David Urquhart Sky Travel has seen an almost complete cessation in new bookings and suffered cancellations across all destinations. This has unfortunately resulted in the company being placed into administration.

Donald McNaught and Matthew Henderson of Johnston Carmichael were appointed as Joint Administrators of David Urquhart Sky Travel Limited (“DUST”, “the Company”) by Notice of Appointment by the Directors, which was lodged in the Court of Session on 16 July 2020.

The Company has ceased to trade and is no longer taking any further bookings.  The information below sets out specific advice for customers to follow depending on what holiday and travel arrangements you have booked and how you paid for them.

The majority of holidays sold by DUST were flight inclusive packages and these were protected by the CAA’s ATOL scheme.

DUST also sold a small number of cruise only holidays (which are protected by Financial Failure Insurance) and also sold holidays as an agent for other Tour Operators.

It is important that customers impacted by the Company ceasing to trade follow the guidance below that relates to their type of booking, in order to progress their claim.  Please note that the Company has ceased to trade and the Joint Administrators are not in a position to process refunds to customers.  It is not anticipated that any customers with bookings will have a claim as a creditor of the Company.

Package holidays with flights included operated by David Urquhart Sky Travel Ltd

If your booking included flights where DUST was the principal and the holiday was not with another Tour Operator, further information and advice on how to claim is available on the ATOL website:

https://www.packpeaceofmind.co.uk/ and  https://www.caa.co.uk/ATOL-protection/Make-an-ATOL-claim/Latest-ATOL-holder-failures/.

Please note that all DUST package holidays with flights included provided by DUST will state ATOL number 3701 at the bottom of your ATOL certificate.

Bookings through David Urquhart Sky Travel with another Tour Operator

If you booked a package holiday through DUST but the holiday is being provided by another Tour Operator, you will need to contact the Tour Operator named on your paperwork or ATOL Certificate (listed on your ATOL certificate under “Who is protecting your trip”). Your Tour Operator should be able to confirm that your booking will proceed as normal.  Please note that bookings made via DUST where DUST is not the Tour Operator will have an ‘A’ prefix in the Booking reference on the documentation provided to you by DUST.

Customers requiring further assistance in relation to bookings where DUST is not the Tour Operator can also contact ABTA by visiting www.abta.com/davidurquhart or contacting 0203 758 8735 or [email protected]

Non-flight packages (Cruise Only)

If you booked a non-flight package holiday (eg Cruise Only) through DUST, it is protected by Financial Failure Insurance.  All customers confirmed or recently cancelled on a Cruise and Maritime Voyages / Fred Olsen cruise should contact Advantage Financial Services at the details below to intimate their claim.  Please note that ‘cruise only’ bookings will have a ‘C’ prefix in the Booking reference on the documentation provided to you by DUST.
